May 3: First Thursday Tram Tour
11am — 12pm | Washington Park Arboretum
The Washington Park Arboretum’s 13-passenger tram offers monthly tours of the expansive nature park. Riders and participants on the first Thursday tour each month will learn about highlights of the season, new plantings, history of the Arboretum and more as they travel from the Graham Visitors Center to the Pacific Connections Garden. This is an open-air tour that operates year-round, rain or shine. Register here.
May 13: Arboretum Running Tour
8:30am — 10:15am | Washington Park Arboretum
Get some exercise while learning and enjoying the Washington Park Arboretum with the monthly running tour. This month, on May 13th, you can learn about the history and design of the park, check out some choice plants, and learn about the traditional or modern uses of other plants along the running route. The tour is about 3 miles and held at a leisurely pace (11 or 12-minute mile). The price is $25/person.
May 13th: Mother’s Day Sunday Supper
6pm | Volunteer Park Cafe
Celebrate Mother’s Day at the Volunteer Park Cafe with a special dinner from Chef Ericka Burke. The menu includes chilled sweet pea bisque with mint & creme fraiche, a Green Goddess salad, seafood stew with cod, clams, mussels, prawns, gremolata & toast, and finishes with a lovely lemon chèvre cheesecake with berry compote and pistachio crumble. The cost is $45/person, and reservations are required.re.
May 17: Grupo Pesquera Wine Dinner
6:30pm | The Harvest Vine
The monthly wine dinner at The Harvest Vine will feature wines from Alejandro Fernández’s Bodega Pesquera and Bodega Condado de Haza (Ribera del Duero) Dehasa la Granja (Zamora) and El Vínculo (La Mancha). The different wine offerings are paired with an expertly prepared menu from Chef Joey Serquinia. Tickets are $125/person and include the dinner, wine pairings, tax and gratuity.
