Get out and active Thanksgiving morning for the annual Montlake Turkey Trot and Kids Run! This event is a 5K for adults and 1 mile for kiddos, following a route through the Washington Park Arboretum. All proceeds will benefit the University Food Bank, which has been working to prevent hunger for residents of Northeast Seattle neighborhoods for 34 years.

The race starts at 9:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning, November 23rd. The 5K will start on the corner of E Lynn and 24th Ave E. It’s followed by a kids walk/run, so the whole family can get out and exercise before their Thanksgiving feasting!

The Kids Turkey Trot is open for children ages 2-12, although kids under age 13 can participate in the 5K if they wish (must pay the 5K price). The 1-mile kids race will go through the Arboretum’s Pinetum.

The cost to register is $35 per adult or $15 per child, and prices increase $5 for both races on November 21st.
