Madison Park can sometimes feel like a small town within a city, and this is due in large part to the effort put in by our local business owners to maintain that ‘village’ atmosphere. Those business owners are again sponsoring Madison Park Days, a three-day celebration of the Madison Park community that includes a sidewalk sale, starting tomorrow, July 9, and a parade and picnic taking place this Saturday the 11th. Kids are encouraged to dress up in costume and decorate wagons, bikes, pets, any anything else they like to show their creativity. Line-up for the parade will begin at 11:45 a.m. Saturday at the Wells Fargo at East Madison Street and McGilvra Boulevard East, and parade participants will then follow a Seattle Fire Department truck east to Madison Park. Following the parade, stick around for complimentary pizza, hot dogs, beverages, treats, and games! You won’t want to miss this great celebration of community, and don’t forget to visit all our local businesses on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday for their sidewalk sales.
