November 3: African American Students & Academics Meeting
6:00-7:30 pm | McGilvra Elementary School
McGilvra Elementary is hosting a dinner meeting for “McGilvra families with African American, African, Caribbean, bi-racial and/or multi-racial black students.” The goal of this event is to learn about the efforts of Seattle Public Schools to support and improve academic performance and social opportunities for multicultural students.
November 14: French Movie Night
Time tba | 1922 42nd Ave E
This movie night at French Truly is part of a four-week French course, but open to those who are not taking the course. “La Gloire de mon Pere” is a story about French novelist Marcel Pagnol’s childhood in Provence. Become a little more French with others learning the language and culture.
November 6: Fiddleheads Family Nature Class
10:00am-12:00pm | Washington Park Arboretum
Get outdoors this fall! Explore the season during the UW Botanic Gardens nature classes at the Washington Park Arboretum. Instructors will lead an educational hike throughout the gardens, letting kids lead the way using their curiosity and senses. Classes are offered throughout the month. November class topics are Silly Squirrels, Mushroom Mania, and Mammals Are Like Me.
November 15: Fall Wine Tasting Event
6:00-8:30 pm | Aegis Living on Madison
Join neighbors and friends at the fourth annual Fall Wine Tasting Event sponsored by Madrona Community Council. Event admission is $32.50, which includes wine tasting and discounted bottles. All proceeds benefit neighborhood activities put on by the Madrona Community Council.
